ROUNDTABLE FORUM: HIGHPOWER TECHNOLOGY SHARES 'QUALITY PRODUCTIVITY' AND 'BUSINESS INTEGRITY'
On the 15th of December, the Guangdong Province Battery Industry Association Core President Roundtable Forum was successfully held!
Pan Dangyu, Chairman of the Guangdong Battery Industry Association and Chairman of Highpower Technology, along with Tang Changjiang, Secretary General of the Guangdong Battery Industry Association, and other guests, engaed in a discussion centered around the keywords "breakthrough, iteration, involution, going overseas, integrity, and self-discipline".
Question 1:
Secretary-General Tang stated that on the path of upgrading China's industrial chain, the development of‘new quality productivity’is a topic that can't be bypassed! So, how should we develop new quality productivity and promote the upgrading of China's battery industry? I would like to invite Mr Pan Danyu to share his views.
Mr. Pan shared his views on 'Corporate Values', 'High-Quality Technological Innovation' and 'Corporate Sustainability and Business Continuity':
Firstly, advanced productivity stems from a company’s values at its core; Highpower Technology's corporate value is customer-centric, committed to providing end-users with safe and enjoyable terminal products.
Secondly, the guarantee and driving force of excellent productivity is "high-quality technological innovation". High-quality technological innovation is a systematic way of thinking and ability, which is oriented towards deeply meeting the core requirements of brand customers, or rather, those of their end-users for technlogical innovation. It also starts from the industrial chain synergy, integrating resources to drive the supply chain upgrades, prompting enterprises and upstream and downstream to cooperate in multiple links and driving the industrial chain to innovate together.
Finally, quality productivity also needs to focus on corporate sustainability and business continuity of supply. On the one hand, we need to establish compliant corporate governance, build a high-quality industrial ecosystem, and promote ESG initiatives. Currently, Highpower Technology has achieved a Wind ESG A rating, and we strive for AAA. Committing to carbon neutrality and compliance has become a core value for the company’s survival. On the other hand, it is also necessary to focus on business continuity, emphasizing consistent supply. Focus on the global layout of the supply chain to ensure that business continuity supply can be guaranteed in any difficult and challenging situations, creating value for customers, and only then can quality productivity be truly formed.
Question 2:
Secretary-General Tang emphasized that in order to promote technological innovation, it is necessary to create an atmosphere of honesty and integrity! Highpower Technology, as the first batch of 5A credit enterprises of Guangdong Battery Industry Association, I would like to invite Chairman Pan to share his experience on how enterprises operate with integrity.
Mr. Pan said that it is a fundamental virtue for individuals and companies to be honest, and he talked about his understanding of "honesty in business" from four aspects:
For customers: We choose partners with similar philosophies who provide solid customer service. We sign clear and reasonable contracts in line with the process, and then strictly adhere to the contracts.
For suppliers: Highpower Technology has a number of suppliers that we have worked with since the inception of the company and most of our key suppliers have worked with us for more than 10 years. We have worked with our suppliers for more than ten years. We shared with our suppliers on the concept of jointly serving end-users. By adhering to this concept, we have established clear and reasonable business terms in our cooperation, abide by the spirit of the contract and do not arbitrarily change the requirements, so that we have established a long-term, stable and mutually trusting partnership with our suppliers.
For employees: Employees are the fundamental support of the company on the path to excellence, and the company serve as a platform for outstanding talents to fully utilize their strengths. We encourage those who struggle and motivate those who contribute, and provide employees with fair opportunities in terms of salary incentives, promotions, etc., as well as transparent career development paths and training.
